Fishing With A Friend

This piece is an Illustration done as a final project for one of my Illustration foundation classes at Savannah College of Art and Design. This piece was placed in the 2024 Foundations Studies Honors show with 98 other student works. It was displayed for viewing by the dean of schools and other guests. 

Fishing With a Friend is a whimsical illustration combining the natural and the fantastical, showcasing the unique friendship between the boy and the serpent. I referenced a photo of a boy very similar to this one by Agim Sulaj, an Italian photographer and artist. My main goal for this piece was to achieve a painterly style with subtle atmospheric perspective and an appealing color palette.
